		Bill Crotty, General Manager Bill Crotty is the General Manager of Warragul Linen Service. He has held the position for 14 years, and prior to it was Operations Manager of Northern Suburbs Hospital Linen Service (now known as Stericlean). Bill is the Past President of the Victorian Institutional Laundries Association. He is also the Chairman of the Australian Standards Committee Textiles in healthcare facilities and institutions. He is a member of the West Gippsland Healthcare Groups Executive. Bill has an accounting background and has attended US and European Laundry Equipment Exhibitions and provided very insightful reviews of his experiences to the industry in Australia. 		Staff Profile Nanette Gilligan - Production Manager Nanette Gilligan is the Production Manager at the Warragul Linen Service. Nanette’s role focuses on operational control of the plant and the management of linen for designated customer. Nanette ensures that the plant operates efficiently and that all customers are receiving a quality product and service. Staff – General Warragul is a rural area about an hour and a half from Melbourne. The population is approximately 9,000 with a further 3,000 in the general catchment. Currently 190 staff are employed at WLS, four staff have over 30 years service, ten with over 20 years service and sixteen with over 15 years service, who all contribute to producing approximately 135 tonnes of linen per week. Our staff work in an atmosphere that is positive, busy and efficient. The management structure provides a career path for staff and there is a great emphasis on new staff orientation and training. Many staff are required to complete specialist training to meet the requirement of their job description. An example of this is pre-packed theatre bundles which requires education in theatre linen bundling. The Linen Service strives to provide opportunities for all staff by offering many external training courses in various areas such as first aid and occupational health and safety. The plant has a health and safety policy that allows for input by staff to improve their working areas. The Linen Service holds a lunch mid year and at Christmas time to show appreciation to all staff for their contribution to the organization. This provides an opportunity for staff to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere.
